Institutul Na\u021bional pentru Studierea Holocaustului din Rom\u00e2nia \u201eElie Wiesel\u201d organizeaz\u0103 ceremonia anual\u0103 de comemorare a victimelor Holocaustului, luni, 11 octombrie 2021,<\/strong> \u00eencep\u00e2nd cu ora 10:00<\/strong>, la Memorialul Victimelor Holocaustului<\/strong> din Bucure\u0219ti.<\/p>\n

La ceremonia depunerii de coroane sunt a\u0219tepta\u021bi s\u0103 participe reprezentan\u021bi ai Administra\u021biei Preziden\u021biale, Guvernului, Corpului Diplomatic, ai comunit\u0103\u021bii evreie\u0219ti \u0219i societ\u0103\u021bii civile.<\/p>\n

\u00cen contextul asum\u0103rii trecutului \u0219i a angajamentului de p\u0103strare vie a memoriei evenimentelor care au marcat istoria Rom\u00e2niei \u00een perioada celui de-al Doilea R\u0103zboi Mondial, anul 2021 prezint\u0103 o \u00eenc\u0103rc\u0103tur\u0103 emo\u021bional\u0103 aparte prin comemorarea a 80 de ani de la Holocaustul \u00een Rom\u00e2nia: rebeliunea legionar\u0103 de la Bucure\u0219ti (ianuarie 1941), Pogromul de la Ia\u0219i (iunie 1941), deport\u0103rile \u00een Transnistria.<\/p>\n

\u00cen luna octombrie se \u00eemplinesc 80 de ani de la \u00eenceperea deport\u0103rii evreilor din Basarabia, Bucovina de Sud \u0219i Bucovina de Nord \u00een Transnistria. Doar \u00een octombrie 1941, peste 35.000 de evrei, majoritatea copii, b\u0103tr\u00e2ni, femei, din Dorohoi, Suceava, C\u00e2mpulung Moldovenesc, Vatra Dornei, R\u0103d\u0103u\u0163i, Gura Humorului \u015fi alte localit\u0103\u0163i din vecin\u0103tate au fost escorta\u021bi \u00een Transnistria. \u00cen perioada 1941-1943, \u00een lag\u0103rele \u0219i ghetourile din Transnistria au murit \u00eentre 115.000 – 118.000 de evrei locali, 105.000 – 120.000 de evrei din Rom\u00e2nia \u0219i 11.000 de romi.<\/p>\n

The \u201eElie Wiesel\u201d National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania announces the organization of the yearly commemoration ceremony that will take place on Monday, October 11, starting at 10:00 am<\/strong>, at the Holocaust Memorial in Bucharest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the wreath-laying ceremony, representatives of the Presidency, Romanian Government, Diplomatic Corps, the Jewish community, and civil society are expected.<\/p>\n

In the context of acknowledging the past and committing to keeping alive the memory of the events that marked Romania`s history during WWII, 2021 presents a special emotional significance as we commemorate 80 years since the events that made the Holocaust in Romania: the legionary rebellion in Bucharest (January 1941), the Iasi Pogrom (June 1941), the deportations to Transnistria.<\/p>\n

In October 2021, we mark 80 years since Jews` deportation from Bessarabia, Southern Bukovina, Northern Bukovina to Transnistria. Only in October 1941, over 35.000 Jews, mostly childre, old people, women from Dorohoi, Suceava, C\u00e2mpulung Moldovenesc, Vatra Dornei, R\u0103d\u0103u\u021bi, Gura Humorului and other neighbourhood localities were escorted to Transnistria. During 1941-1943, in the camps and ghettos from Transnistria died between 115.000 – 118.000 local Jews, 105.000 – 120.000 Jews from Romania, and 11.000 Roma people.<\/p>\n
